Using Remote Assistance

Remote Assistance setup

1) Type ‘allow remote’ in search
2) Check box that says ‘Allow Remote Assistance…’
3) Click Advanced. Click ‘Allow this computer…’
4) Click OK
5) Click OK

User needing Help

1) Click Start
2) Click Help and Support
3) Click ‘More support options’ at bottom of dialog
4) Click Windows Remote Assistance link
5) Click Invite someone you trust to help you link
6) Try Use Easy Connect
7) Tell the password to the person helping you

User providing Help

1) Click Start
2) Click Help and Support
3) Click ‘More support options’ at bottom of dialog
4) Click Windows Remote Assistance link
5) Click help someone who has invited you link
6) Try Use Easy Connect
7) Enter the password from the helpee that followed the steps above (User needing Help)
