Microsoft Visual Studio – Completely Remove all Files and Folders Visual Studio Before Attempting a Fresh Install

After uninstalling all versions of Visual Studio products from your computer using the Programs and Features by means of the Control Panel, you may want to clear out the following folders and files before attempting to reinstall Visual Studio again.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio

Malwarebytes: Web Protection turning off – One way to fix problem

There are many suggestions from the forums and Malwarebytes on how to fix this issue. For example, they say to stop the application and restart, or uninstall the application, use the clean tool and reinstall. I have tried these solutions and others and for the most part, they worked, but not today. One suggestion was to send the log files to Malwarebytes so they could have a look.

The log files are located at C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs

Instead of sending the log files, I decided to delete everything in the logs folder. I restarted Malwarebytes and the problem went away.

Nero: Installer Issue – There is a system reboot pending. Please reboot your system and after this start installation again.

This is a big problem with the validator of the Nero installer. I am going to give you the simplest solution that should work every time.

Download the stub installer for the trial version of Nero. Execute the stub, let it download and install the trial version. Once installed, activate the product using the key Nero provided you when you purchased the product.

Done!
