Quick Time – Fixing Quicktime Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control

Out of the blue, I get this error when trying to launch the Quicktime Player. I tried many solutions from the internet, but to no avail. I found this video that finally showed me how to fix it for me. It was the same process as some other solutions I found on the internet, but the reset.cmd file was different and had what I needed to fix the issue.

Note: Windows 7 users:
Before running the reset.cmd, right click on reset.cmd, go to properties, Compatibility tab, check ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select ‘Windows Vista (Service Pack 2).
